Marie Amachoukeli
Marie Amachoukeli graduated from La Fémis and is now a director and screenwriter. She writes and co-directs Forbach - Grand Prix de Clermont-Ferrand -, C’est gratuit pour les filles - César for best short film -, and Demolition party with Claire Burger.. In 2014, she worked on a feature film called Party Girl in collaboration with Samuel Theis and Claire Burgr. The film wins the Caméra d’Or at the Cannes film festival and many other international awards.
In 2016, she finished her short animation film I want Pluto to be a planet again which she directed with Vladimir Mavounia Kouka. The film was nominated for the Césars in 2018 and won multiple awards. In 2020, she wrote the Colombian film Litigante for Franco Lolli, which opened Critics' Week at the Cannes Film Festival. She also directed Hypno, an installation for the Paris Opera and the third stage. As a consultant, she works with Clément Cogitore, Julia Ducourneau, Guillaume Gouix, among others, and takes part in international writing workshops, including Next Step and the Atlas workshops.
